I want to buy a motorcycle, but I have many problems finding insurance. The motorcycle will be almost new. It is only 29 kw.

I would like to know which company is best for motorcycle insurance! Kasko is very expensive! I would like a minikasko (including fire and stealing of the bike), but often the bike must be 5 years old or more for this to be possible.

How much is the state insurance (liikluskindlustus) for a 29KW motocycle?

Also some companies want alarm or immobilser fitted. I do not want to buy this so insurance companies that do not ask for it would be best for me.

Also, is there a registration fee for the government (new owner?).
Do I need a technical inspection? Where do I go and how much is it?

So many questions and also many answers. About liikluskindlustus(state insurance) and kasko insurance you can find info in the internet e-kindlustus.ee. For exact prices you need to fill inform and send it to them. The cost of your state insurance depends on you risk value (for novise insurers 1,2 and discounting in every year) and machines power source KW-s. Also motorcycle alarm is not so expensive (about 2K) so if for it depends insurance fee mayby its reasonable to install it. Registration fee for used motorcycles is 600 eek if bought from Estonia. Technical inspection (search in internet for tehnoülevaatus) about 200-300 eek if one is needed.

We would need to know more than KW to calculate the exact minikasko rate.
It really doesn’t matter which company you should choose, since there are so many out there. There really isn’t a “best” company, they are all almost the same when talking about motorcycle kasko insurance. You may begin asking from http://www.if.ee/eng for starters. It is a wellknown insurance company . You need to provide them the technical information etc.
State insurance for 29kw is about 10 – 30 pounds per year This really depends on insurance company, cheapest should be http://www.seesam.ee/en/ at the moment.
About alarms, im pretty sure that if you want a kasko or minikasko, you will need an alarm of some kind. Prices begin with ~70 pounds per alarm + installation.
Registration fee, if there has been an owner in Estonia before, is about 30 pounds. If not, then 60 pounds for first time registration.
Tehnical inspection is done all around Estonia at the same places where they inspect cars. If you have nothing to worry about (sport exhaust, modified frame/engine) then just go to any place. Cost is about 10 pounds.
